Experimental protocol began with a tutorial session followed by easy and hard sessions, respectively. Easy sessions consisted of three similar scenarios that occurred at 11:00 AM (simulator time) and were randomly administered. Hard sessions consisted of two different scenarios that occurred at 8:00 PM or 6:00 AM and were also randomly administered. Each scenario was approximately 12 min long and consisted of six subareas that each lasted 2 min.
