Sensor data are encoded to high-dimensional vector \({\mathbf {x}} \in {\mathbb {Z}}^ D\) using a novel Integer-HDM encoder and transmitted over a noisy channel. At the receiver, the perturbed vector \({\mathbf {y}}\) is either decomposed by an optimized soft-feedback decoder (that improved Integer-HDM decoder) to reconstruct the sensory data, or directly classified by a near-channel classifier (NCC) without any decoding step
